This painting was inspired by a story told to me by a Phantom pilot who said the only aircraft he couldn’t get his sights on was a Buccaneer down at low level jinking through the valleys. This really brought home to me what an amazing aircraft this was, and why they were so admired by those who flew and maintained them.
