This painting was inspired by photographs of Jaguars painted in their distinctive Arctic camouflage departing from RAF Coltishall bound for Bardufoss in Norway. I thought it would interesting if I transferred the setting from a grey day at Coltishall to a cold, snowy scene in Norway, dominated by a low sun reflecting off an icy taxiway.

The original painting was exhibited and sold at the 2014 Guild of Aviation Artists’ Annual Summer Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
